Overview

DriveDirect is desktop software that helps users browse and download files and folders from Google Drive to storage selected by the user.

Google account access

DriveDirect uses Google OAuth and requests read-only Google Drive access. This access is used to list folders and files and to download content selected by the user. DriveDirect does not require permission to edit or delete Google Drive content.

File handling

Drive files are downloaded directly to the local folder or external storage selected by the user. DriveDirect does not operate a separate cloud storage service for storing the contents of a user’s Google Drive.

Licensing data

DriveDirect uses a device-specific fingerprint and license activation information to enforce the licensed number of computers. Sensitive local license values are stored using operating-system secure storage where available. Lemon Squeezy provides license activation and subscription services.

Payments

Payments and billing information are processed by Lemon Squeezy. DriveDirect does not directly store payment card details.

Third-party services

The product relies on Google for OAuth and Google Drive API access, and Lemon Squeezy for checkout, subscriptions, and license activation. Their own privacy policies apply to information processed by those services.
