No. DriveDirect uses read-only Google Drive access for browsing and downloading. It does not need permission to edit or delete your Drive files.
Google Drive may prepare large folder downloads as ZIP archives. DriveDirect is designed to download folder contents directly to disk and preserve the folder structure.
Yes. You can download a complete folder or select specific files and subfolders.
Completed files are kept. Starting the same download again skips existing completed files, making it easier to continue large jobs.
Each personal license is limited to one activated computer at a time. The activation can be deactivated before moving the license to another computer.
The macOS version is the current release. A Windows installer is planned and will use the same DriveDirect workflow.
